Description 

Offered by the Southeastern National Tuberculosis Center, this 3-week course was designed for healthcare providers new to TB and covers all aspects of tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment. This includes application of the current guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of tuberculosis; identification of populations at high risk for LTBI and TB disease and strategies to target these populations; discussion of the roles of multidisciplinary healthcare providers in providing effective TB care. This online blended course includes weekly live interactive sessions (2.5 hours) conducted via Zoom and pre-recorded lectures and activities completed on your own before and after the live session (~3 hours).

Target Audience 

Clinicians, nurses, and field staff who interact with patients with TB disease and have 6 months to 5 years of experience. 

Course Requirements 

To earn credit for this course, you must: 

  • Attend all 3 live sessions
  • Be present for at least 80% of each live session
  • Actively engage in discussion and activities for the live sessions
  • Complete all online assignments on time
  • Complete the final evaluation
