Welcome to Knowledge Hub

Access materials from past courses and refresh your knowledge anytime with training resources, handouts, and quick references to help you revisit key TB concepts and practices.

It's not always possible to attend our courses. We're sharing various course resources for you to view anytime.

LTBI for Clinicians: Resources
for prescribers new to TB and covers the foundations of LTBI: evaluation of TB infection, diagnosis and diagnostic tools, targeted testing as an essential TB prevention strategy, treatment of LTBI, factors that increase the risk of progression from latent to active disease, and management of adverse events.

LTBI for Nurses: Resources
for nurses new to TB and covers the foundations of LTBI: using a risk assessment tool and the LTBI care cascade to assess, test, treat, and case manage LTBI to successful treatment completion.

Foundations in TB Diagnosis and Treatment: Resources
for healthcare providers new to TB and covers the application of the current guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of tuberculosis; identification of populations at high risk for LTBI and TB disease and strategies to target these populations; and discussion of the roles of multidisciplinary healthcare providers in providing effective TB care.

We know how challenging it can be to grasp some nursing skills, so we've built several tools to help you practice.

TB Infectious Period Interactive Calendar

This tool uses patient symptom dates and treatment starts to generate a color-coded calendar that visually defines exposure windows. The tool assists with determining the infectious period during a TB contact investigation. It aids in identifying the period of time that an infected person may transmit TB disease to others, based on CDC’s 2005 guidelines. The tool helps identify priority contacts and determine if retesting is necessary based on the eight-week window. This tool should not be used as a substitute for professional judgment in determining infectious period. This tool should be used in partnership with a TB expert who can walk you through the dose counting process.

TB Treatment Dose Counting

This dose counting tool is used to accurately track the administration of daily TB medication doses throughout the treatment period using an online tool. This tool is for teaching purposes only and should not be used for patient treatment. This tool should be used in partnership with a TB expert who can walk you through the dose counting process.
