About Training Levels and Formats
TRAINING LEVELS
Foundational (one bar icon) - Some TB experience, can apply guidelines in specific contexts, may use guidelines for problem-solving and decision-making. Intermediate (two bar icon) - 5+ years TB experience, able to use principles for problem-solving and decision-making. Applies previous experiences to similar situations. Advanced (three bar icon) - Considered an expert by peers. Works intuitively on TB-related problems, can analyze, critique, and elaborate ideas.
TRAINING FORMATS
In Person - Online: Blended - An online learning experience with a start and end date and includes watching pre-recorded didactic lectures and completing activities online before and after joining your classmates for hands-on, case-based livestreamed sessions conducted via Zoom. Online: Scheduled - An online learning experience with a start and end date and includes assignment due dates. You complete your assignments when it’s conducive for you (but no later than the due date). Online: Self-Paced - An online learning experience you can start any time and has an end date in a set number of days or calendar date. Online: Webinar -
This course covers transmission and pathogenesis of TB, deciding when to initiate an investigation, determining the start and end of the infectious period, prioritizing contacts, communication skills, and cultural and diversity considerations.

This online blended course is designed for nurses new to TB and covers the foundations of LTBI: using a risk assessment tool and LTBI care cascade to assess, test, treat, and case manage LTBI to successful treatment completion
Learn how to manage a TB case from initial case report to closing a case in this highly engaging online course. Collect valuable resources and local information regarding case management to use for future reference and receive personalized feedback from a coach, an experienced TB nurse.
