Fundamentals of TB Contact Investigation

Description

This course is designed for nurses and field staff new to contact investigation and covers transmission and pathogenesis of TB, deciding when to initiate an investigation, determining the start and end of the infectious period, prioritizing contacts, communication skills, and cultural and diversity considerations. This online blended course includes weekly live interactive sessions (1.5 hours) conducted via Zoom and pre-recorded lectures and activities completed on your own before and after the live session (~1.5 hours).  

This training will not address interviewing skills or techniques, but it is a prerequisite for taking the Essentials of TB Contact Investigation Interviewing Skills training.

  • Attend all 4 live sessions
  • Be present for at least 80% of each live session
  • Actively engage in discussion and activities for the live sessions

  • Complete the final evaluation
