Essentials of TB Contact Investigation Interviewing Skills

Join SNTC in Durham, North Carolina, for our upcoming Essentials of TB Contact Investigation Interviewing Skills course. This 2-day interactive, skill-building course provides an overview of the contact investigation process, basic communication and interviewing skills, and opportunities to apply those skills in role play activities. The course provides adequate time for students to practice and receive feedback on interviewing skills.

To take this training, you must have taken the Fundamentals of TB Contact Investigation course.

Target Audience: Nurses and field staff who conduct and/or manage TB contact investigations. 

Learning Objectives: 

As a result of participation in this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the requirements necessary to conduct a TB Contact Investigation
  • List effective communication skill techniques when working with clients and contacts
  • Describe types of interview questions to be used during a contact investigation
  • Prepare at least two strategies for conducting an interview in a special circumstance
